I got 40″ Sony Full HD 1080p Lcd flat panel. I thing it’s the best. Very amazing tv!. You go 46″ depends of the size of your room. Truly i didn’t expect the 40″ to look that big in my living room.Good.
    :)
    Peace-

LCD, they run much cooler and are less prone to burn in from stationary images. They cost a bit more size for size.

Get a Sony, or a Samsung LCD television

    Check out the

    Samsung-LN-46A650
(one of the best LCDs currently on the market)

    or the Sony KDL-46XBR4
(Top of the line Sony television

    also check out the KDL46W4100
    (comes out in may)

Go for the Sony xbr4 or 5 series LCD tv’s. They have the 120 hz refresh rate and watching sports well anything in HD for that matter is perfect. I own one and cant wait for it to be paid for so I can buy another 52 inch one for the TV room ! We use the 40 in our bedroom and it’s a shame that the one in my bedroom is better than the Plasma in the TV room.
We always buy Sony , you’ll never have any regrets it’s easy to set up and matches instantly to the TV remote. We won the Plasma TV and I **** it as the cable remote wont fully control it. The Sony LCD is a far superior TV.
