Just wondering if anyone knows good deals. Right now I’m looking at about $.88/sq in (if my math is right). It’s $800 for a Sanyo 46″ LCD 1080p 60hz 2000:1 contrast.

Have you guys seen anything better (ie same specs or better and equal or lower price per square inch of screen)?

I don’t really mind LCD or Plasma but I’d like 1080p and at least 40″

Don’t go with a Sanyo unless your are on a budget. Sanyo’s have a very high repair rate. If your going to go with a tv that is a good deal look at Vizio Samsung or Sharp. These tvs will perform a lot better and you will still not break the bank.

save the money for a better 720p type cause on a good set 1080p wont make a difference that size. Costco has a 42 Panasonic plasma for 699.99 with 2 year warranty.

I watch and to see what is lowest every day.. Your Sanyo sounds very good. You can get a 50 inch DLP for $800 but you said LCD or plasma..
